In fall and winter, much of the color throughout the nursery is provided by native plants of Australia and New Zealand. Many have showy flowers that provide outstanding color when little else is blooming in the garden. Australian natives such as Grevillea have flowers that are attractive to hummingbirds. Some make great cut flowers and foliage and are long lasting in flower arrangements. Many Australian and New Zealand natives thrive alongside other plants with low water requirements and are well-suited for our Mediterranean climate.
